It is spring and the Bourgainvillea is flowering. In one street a terrace house is a mass of crimson beauty. In a lane in a vacant lot and covering the broken timber wall at the back of derelict houses the Bourgainvillea is a wild mass engulfing the ugly with a huge pile of beautiful crimson.

OMG I love bourgainvillea with all its colors from magenta and purple to red and orange. I remember years ago in north Queensland coming across a pub in a little outback village that had a massive bourgainvillea growing across its entire roof. It was the most amazing sight. I wonder if it is still there, or someone with no sense of beauty has cut it down.
