Last night the boys and myself decorated our Christmas tree. At first they were typical boys and just chucked some tinsel on quickly. It looked terrible. So after some chastisement and instruction on thinking aesthetically we managed to improve on the first effort.
It is a very post modern Christmas tree. In the post modern age irony
is very important and so it is a bare tree and made of plastic, all
white with no leaves. It is actually made of optic fiber and has a
halogen globe underneath and little points of light emanate all over it
so the effect is quite beautiful. The final touch is some LED lights in
the form of stars.
So now the studio looks Christmasy while retaining a suitable post modern air. Just occasionally you can have your cake and eat it too :-)
