Launching A New Art Newz Web Site

Over the3 last couple of days I have been preparing my latest web site. It is a sister to my popular Gatherr web site and has the same minimalist look appearance and a very simplified format. It is called Arty Newz.

Four New Web Sites

Over the last month I have been busy creating 4 new web sites, one for poetry and the other 3 are for erotic images. They all have a structure and appearance closely integrated with Gatherr.com  They are loads of fun to do.

This is a simple site that consists of poems that I post there as I come across poems worth sharing. Some of my own poetry gets put there too. The poetry crosses barriers of culture and time and reflects my personal favorites and reading habits.

Once A Viking, Always A Viking, Even A Facebook Viking

The Internet enriches my life in many unexpected ways. Recently I made a Facebook profile and have discovered some very surprising and wonderful things. Firstly it surprised me how many people I already knew were on Facebook. Secondly I was surprised how easy it is to keep in contact with existing friends by using Facebook. Thirdly are the new friends I am making through Facebook.

There is a feature that enables easy discovery of people in far away places called World Friend-finder. Naturally I used it to find people in Norway, especially Bergen where my family comes from. So I now have 4 friends in Norway and they have proved to be interesting people, the sort of people who it is a pleasure to converse with. There is more to it though. I get the feeling that I "fit" with these people. I like their attitudes to life. It is as if the Viking genes are saying that I share some very fundamental things, that my genetic heritage recognizes the wider Viking family that I come from. It is a good feeling.

Go Mobile With Gatherr

Gatherr.com is my new multimedia online site. It is intended to be a fluid stream of cultural consciousness. Because of its radically simplified structure it has proved easily adaptible to a mobile version that can be browsed on your mobile phone.

The URL you will need is   http://gatherr.com/mobile

It will work well on any WAP enabled phone, but full video functionality may not be available (YouTube videos may not play). Those fortunate enough to have an Apple iPhone will be able to see full video functioning by using Safari to browse the normal site directly at  http://gatherr.com

Online Multimedia Scrapbook

I have started a new tumble style web site. It is a zappy format full of embedded videos from YouTube, photos from Flickr and other fun and interesting snippets that I find on the Internet here and there. There are already posts on the computer generated dynamic art of Canadian San Base that is the talk of the cybersphere, and an animated video of the paintings of Vincent van Gogh set to music.

The site is called Gatherr.com At first glance it looks like "gather" with an extra "r", but really it is pronounced "gatherer", but being web 2.0 the last "e" is dropped. It is a great domain for a great new idea. Bookmark Gatherr.com for interesting tidbits.
